Give one useful task your attention. This guide is a starting point for turning an idea into useful work, with people who help you move it forward.

Choose the first task

Your first version does not need to contain every idea. It needs to help someone do one thing from beginning to end. Choose that task and give it your attention.

Build a complete small experience

For a digital product, that might mean opening a page, making a choice and getting a result. For a colouring book, it might mean a small set of well-finished pages that someone can print and enjoy.

Use the tools with a purpose

Replit or Lovable can help you explore a prototype. Codex and Claude Code can help you develop it further. Canva can help you shape a physical or digital product. Decide what the work needs before deciding which tool to open.

Watch someone use it

Share the version with someone it is for. Let them try it before you explain it. Their questions and hesitation will show you what to improve next.
